When Life Gives You Snow… Make Art

This morning I was sat scrolling Pinterest, sulking that I couldn’t get to the mountains for some winter mountaineering, because let’s be honest, Britain sees one snowflake and everything grinds to a halt.

Then an image stopped me. I’d been thinking, “If this snow sticks around, I’ll shoot those photos…” and suddenly I thought… why am I waiting?

So I hauled myself off the sofa, grabbed my camera, tripod, the outfit I had in mind, slapped on some red lippy, and headed straight out into the snow. Bottom half safely hidden, yes I was absolutely wearing joggers and snow boots.

Twenty minutes and a few poses later and I had the shot… no faff.

A reminder to myself (and maybe to you): the best ideas don’t always need weeks of planning. Sometimes you just need to get up and do the thing.

Seize the day… because that snow might be gone tomorrow.
